Jacob Tierney Drops Heated Rivalry Season 2 News at Critics Choice Awards
Award season is heating up for Jacob Tierney, and he's already deep in the trenches crafting Season 2 of his breakout hit.
Jacob Tierney is juggling trophies and scripts at the same time. According to Deadline Hollywood, the showrunner picked up the Critics Choice LGBTQ Showrunner Award at Friday's 3rd Critics Choice Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television in Los Angeles — and used the spotlight to drop a fresh update on the sophomore run of Heated Rivalry.
"Working very hard," Tierney told the crowd, keeping it short but promising. The Crave and HBO Max series has been racking up serious awards-season momentum on the back of its acclaimed first season, and clearly, the pressure is on to deliver.
Deadline Hollywood reports that Tierney accepted the honour as the show continues its victory lap across the awards circuit. Fans hungry for Season 2 can take comfort knowing their favourite showrunner isn't resting on his laurels — he's heads-down and building out the next chapter. No premiere date has been announced yet, but if the first season's reception is any indication, the wait will absolutely be worth it.
